Reliable balance, range of motion and expanded strength, and endurance and function are aims of the Institute of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine for its patients.

The Institute conducts treatment programs for the overall enhancement of function and well-being of patients who have disorders of the bone, joints and muscles. The Institute focuses on areas of the body which can be improved by strengthening, stretching, and re-education of muscles and joints. Occupational, physical, speech therapy, therapeutic recreation and specialized rehabilitation programs are some approaches developed by the Institute to bring patients back to their feet—literally.
