Leadership

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of St. Luke's Medical Center. Established in 1975 as an important part of the reorganization of St. Luke's into a non-stock non-profit charitable corporation, the board provides overall leadership and direction for the organization. It is responsible for all professional and policy issues that arise in the course of managing the hospital. Members of the board are nominated and chosen on the basis of what they can contribute in terms of resources, talent or wisdom. They are all volunteers who do not receive nor seek remuneration, perks, or privilege. Since 2005, a Board of Advisers composed of some of the best and brightest in the world of business and medicine in the United States and in the Philippines has provided counsel and guidance to the Board of Trustees.
